Custom Assembly FAQs
What files are required for an assembly quotation?
Please provide 3D models or 2D drawings, a bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions or exploded views, required quantities, surface finishes, inspection and testing requirements, and a list of any customer-supplied parts.
Can OSM manufacture all components?
OSM can manufacture most custom machined components and coordinate additional processes through qualified suppliers. Standard components such as fasteners, bearings, seals, and electrical parts can also be sourced based on your BOM. Final capability is confirmed after a technical review.
Can you assemble customer-supplied parts?
Yes. We can receive, inspect, manage, and assemble customer-supplied parts together with components manufactured or sourced by OSM.
Do you support functional testing?
Yes. OSM can perform functional testing according to customer specifications, including fit, movement, operation, leakage, electrical continuity, or other agreed test criteria. Customers should provide the test procedure, acceptance criteria, and any special testing requirements.
Do you support prototype and low-volume assembly?
Yes. We support prototype, sample, and low-volume assembly, with flexible processes for design verification, functional evaluation, and preparation for future production.
