What information is required for a packaging quote?
Send drawings, dimensions, material, surface finish, weight, quantity, shipping method, destination and any special instructions.
Can OSM follow customer-specific instructions?
Yes. Packaging can be prepared according to customer-approved instructions, including quantities per package, product separation, labels, documents and shipping requirements.
How are rust-prone steel parts protected?
Parts are cleaned and inspected before packing. Depending on the material and shipping conditions, a light film of anti-rust oil, VCI paper, VCI film or moisture-barrier material can be applied. Oiled parts are sealed to prevent leakage.
Are custom foam and plastic trays available?
Yes. Custom foam trays, inserts and plastic trays can be prepared according to product geometry, quantity, handling frequency and reusable or disposable packaging requirements.
Can you provide export-ready wooden packaging?
Fumigated or heat-treated wooden pallets and crates with valid IPPC markings can be supplied when required by the destination country. Load securing, moisture protection, forklift access and handling marks can also be added.
Can products be delivered directly to end customers?
Yes. Customer-approved packaging, quantities, labels and documents can be prepared so products can be delivered directly to the end customer or point of use without repacking.
Can inadequate packaging affect product quality?
Yes. Inadequate packaging can cause scratches, corrosion, moisture exposure, contamination, deformation or impact damage during handling, storage and transportation. It can also make packages difficult to move, identify, count, open and use, creating delays, unnecessary work and frustration for logistics personnel and end users. Proper packaging helps reduce shipping costs and waste while ensuring products arrive in their best condition and are ready for efficient use.
